Burewala: A young man was killed while his brother sustained serious injuries when armed assailants
opened fire over an old enmity in the jurisdiction of Sadar Police Station here. According to police, the incident occurred in Chak 140/EB, where Muhammad Ashfaq and his brother Shehbaz were present when their opponents opened fire on them. Both brothers sustained serious bullet injuries and were shifted to hospital in a critical condition. Muhammad Ashfaq succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, while Shehbaz is undergoing treatment.
Police said an old enmity existed betwee the victim’s family and the alleged attackers.
The assailants fled the scene after the shooting. Police reached the spot, collected evidence and launched further investigation to trace and arrest the suspects.
