Dry, diseased, unwanted branches not good for citrus fruits

Lahore: The Punjab Agriculture department has advised the growers of citrus fruits to remove dry, diseased and unwanted branches.



A spokesman of the department said here on Friday that gardners should use the balanced chemical fertilizers as suggested by the Agriculture department. He said that small plants of guava should be protected from frost besides removing weeds from gardens.



Farmers must plough the garden to control weeds, he said and added that deep ploughing should be avoided to keep roots of plant safe.
