Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Police have continued their crackdown against drug suppliers, arresting eight suspects and recovering more than 12.5 kilograms of hashish.
According to a police spokesperson, Pirwadhai Police held two drug suppliers and recovered 4.3 kg of hashish from their possession. Wah Cantt Police arrested a drug supplier and recovered 1.8 kg, while Ganjmandi Police recovered 1.6 kg from another supplier.
Similarly, Civil Lines Police recovered 1.4 kg, Jatli Police 1.2 kg, New Town Police 1.2 kg and Kahuta Police 1.1kg of hashish from the arrested drug suppliers.
Separate cases were registered against all the arrested persons.
City Police Officer CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhaira said that all available resources were being utilised to eliminate the menace of drugs from society.
