Bahawalpur: An elderly man was found dead inside a double-story house in Green Town in the city after apparently passing away while alone.
Rescue-1122 staff said that both portions of the house were occupied by tenants. ‘The tenants living on the upper floor had reportedly left the elderly man alone at the house and had been away for the past four days, ‘ they said, adding that the tenants residing on the ground floor informed rescuers that they had not noticed any movement from the elderly man for the previous three days, prompting concern.
Upon reaching the scene, Rescue 1122 personnel examined the man and determined that he had apparently died about two days earlier. After completing the initial emergency response, rescue officials handed over the body to the police for legal proceedings and further investigation. The deceased was identified as 68-years-old, Zahoor son of Fazal, a resident of Jhelum district.
