Sargodha: A person named Qamar Shahzad called the Kirana Police Station on Emergency Helpline 15 that unknown thieves had broken the roof at night and stolen Rs 409, 000 in cash from his room.
SHO Kirana Muhammad Imran responded immediately along with his team, assessed the situation on the spot and questioned the caller, on which contradictions were found in his words and actions.
On further investigation, he told that he had created a false pretense of burglary to grab the money and had hidden the money in the tractor’s toolbox.
A case has been registered against the accused under the provisions of making a false call on 15 and legal action is being taken against him.
In this regard, DPO Sargodha Touqeer Muhammad Naeem says that 15 is the emergency helpline Making a false call on this is a crime, such elements are being targeted and punished.
