Faisalabad: Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has organized Kashmir solidarity rally at FESCO Headquarters to mark Yum-e-Istahsal and express unwavering support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
FESCO Chief Executive Officer Engineer Muhammad Aamer led the rally while FESCO’s Chief Engineers, Directors General, Directors, senior officers and a large number of employees participated.
Referring to August 05, 2019, Chief Executive Officer FESCO Engr. Muhammad Aamer described it as a black day in the history of South Asia, stating that India revoked the special constitutional status of Jammu and Kashmir by abrogating Articles 370 and 35-A.
He reiterated Pakistan’s longstanding position that Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory whose resolution should be achieved in accordance with the relevant United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
He said that FESCO’s officers and staff stand in complete moral solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peace, justice, humanitarian values, and adherence to international law, adding that dialogue remains the most effective means of resolving all disputes peacefully.
He further said that the rally was not merely a symbolic event but a clear demonstration that the people of Pakistan would never abandon their Kashmiri brothers and sisters.
He prayed for lasting peace, security, dignity, progress, and prosperity for the people of Kashmir, as well as sustainable peace, stability, and mutual respect across South Asia.
Highlighting the significance of national unity, he said that collective consciousness and solidarity are the true strengths of any nation.
He said that every FESCO officer and employee would continue to fulfill their responsibilities with discipline, dedication, and patriotism on matters of national importance.
The participants in the rally including Chief Engineers, Directors General, Directors, Superintending Engineers, other officers, and employees, carried the national flag and banners expressing support for Kashmir.
They chanted slogans in support of Pakistan and Kashmir and reaffirmed their commitment to standing with the Kashmiri people in their just struggle.
Later, special prayer was offered for Pakistan’s security, stability and development as well as for the peace and safety of the people of Kashmir and the establishment of lasting peace in South Asia.
