Dera ismail khan: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority team conducted inspections at various milk shops in CRBC Chowk and other areas of the city following a public complaint and collected milk samples for quality testing through a mobile laboratory.
During the inspection, the milk samples were tested on the spot through the mobile laboratory to check their quality and adulteration. A fine was imposed on a milk seller for mixing water in milk.
The team also inspected various restaurants under the Food Safety Star Rating initiative to assess compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
The officials also ensured that the relevant barcodes were displayed at prominent places at the inspected restaurants to facilitate public access to their food safety ratings and information.
The Food Safety Team said such inspections would continue to ensure the provision of safe and quality food to citizens and promote compliance with food safety regulations.
