FAISALABAD:Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FWCCI) will organize a conference and exhibition ‘Punjab Original’ next year in collaboration with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan for promotion of women-led businesses, said Mrs. Rubina Amjad President FWCCI.
She was talking to a delegation of TDAP (Trade Development Authority of Pakistan) Faisalabad that met him in her office here on Monday. The delegation was headed by Madam Fareeha Khan Director TDAP Faisalabad.
She introduced FWCCI and said that it has 200 members from different business sectors of the city including textiles, home textile, fashion garments, packaging industry, beauty parlors, hosiery, rice, furniture, construction and information technology/digital marketing. She appreciated role of TDAP in enhancing trade and exports of Pakistan. She said TDAP’s Regional Office has the key role to enhance international trade from Faisalabad. She also underlined the need for organizing single country exhibitions in traditional and non-traditional markets. Speaking on the occasion, Director TDAP Faisalabad Madam Fareeha Khan said that OIC is organizing a trade fair in the month of June next year in Lahore. She said that businessmen from 56 countries are expected to participate in this exhibition and showcase their products. She said that TDAP could also arrange a single country exhibition in case of workable and result oriented proposals.
Regarding participation of FWCCI members in women delegations, she said that there was 30 percent participation quota for women in the trade delegations but they must fulfill the requirements in this context.
