GCUF leads Pakistani universities with 55 researchers among world’s top 2pc scientists

Faisalabad:Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) has achieved a significant milestone in global research rankings, with 55 of its researchers recognised among the world’s top two per cent scientists in a global ranking issued by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier.



The recognition places GCUF prominently among Pakistani universities represented in the prestigious ranking. Of the 10 Pakistani universities included in the category, eight are public-sector and two are private-sector institutions. GCUF has secured the top position among these universities with 55 researchers featured in the list, according to the university.



The achievement reflects the growing contribution of GCUF researchers to international scholarship and scientific research across various disciplines. The recognition also highlights the university’s continued focus on research excellence, innovation and strengthening its global academic profile.



Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam on Thursday congratulated the faculty members whose research contributions earned a place among the world’s leading scientists.



He said the recognition was a matter of pride for the university and acknowledged the researchers for their dedication to advancing knowledge and contributing to the international research community.



The VC reiterated the university’s commitment to promoting a strong research culture, encouraging innovation and providing an enabling academic environment for faculty and researchers.



The achievement further strengthens GCUF’s position as a leading public-sector institution contributing to research, innovation and higher education at national and international levels.
