Health, education facilities reviewed in Yarik


Dera ismail khan: The Civil Dispensary and Government Higher Secondary School in Yarik were inspected to review the quality of public services and the availability of basic facilities.



During the visit to the civil dispensary, Assistant Commissioner Dr Muhammad Hamid Siddiq checked the attendance of medical staff, availability of medicines and medical equipment, cleanliness, condition of the building and other essential facilities.



He also sought information about the treatment being provided to patients and directed the officials concerned to ensure regular staff attendance, uninterrupted availability of medicines and timely provision of healthcare services.



He later visited the Government Higher Secondary School, where he reviewed teachers’ attendance, student strength, educational resources, cleanliness and other facilities. He took notice of the absence of the school principal and directed the relevant education officer to take necessary action and resolve the matter.



The assistant commissioner said the provision of basic healthcare and quality education to people in remote areas was among the government’s priorities. He said the performance of public health and educational institutions would be regularly monitored to ensure better services and a conducive environment for patients and students.
