Hyderabad: Hyderabad police arrested six accused under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code and other laws and recovered kites, chemical-coated kite string, a stolen motorcycle, ice drug, liquor bottles and mainpuri.
According to a police spokesman on Friday, Tando Yousif police, in the first operation, arrested accused Asif Rind and recovered 10.50 grams of ice from his possession. A case was registered against him under the Narcotics Act.
In another operation, the police arrested accused Amjad Qazi and Raj Wali Pathan and recovered 120 packets of mainpuri from each of them. Police registered separate cases against the accused under the gutka and mainpuri act.
Meanwhile, Sakhi Pir police arrested accused Abdul Rehman Qureshi while he was selling kites at a shop in Firdous Colony and recovered 620 assorted kites, 22 rolls of chemical-coated kite string (manjha) and other kite-flying material. A case was registered against the accused.
Similarly, Market police arrested Muhammad Imran Arain and recovered four bottles of liquor. A case was registered against him under the Hudood Ordinance.
The B-Section police also arrested accused Murtaza Rajput and recovered a stolen motorcycle bearing registration number KEB-6719, chassis number 04090178 and engine number 07843553, which was reported stolen in a case registered at B-Section police station.
