Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday served notices to respondents for not removing the name of former Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry from the travel ban list despite the court order and sought a report.
The court issued notices to the Interior Secretary, DG Immigration and Passports and Director Immigration for response.
Justice Raja Inaam Ameen Minhas heard a contempt of court petition filed against the removal of the name of former Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry from the travel ban list despite the court order.
Faisal Farid Chaudhry Advocate appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioner and took the position that the court had ordered the removal of Fawad Chaudhry’s name from the travel ban list, despite the court orders, his name is still not removed.
It was prayed that contempt of court action be taken for violation of the court orders.
The court issued notices to the parties and sought a response.
The hearing of the case was adjourned and the next date of hearing will be announced later.
