Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, on Wednesday met with World Bank (WB) representative Shahbaz Khan to discuss progress in Pakistan’s information technology and telecommunications sectors.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed ongoing development initiatives and agreed to strengthen cooperation to promote digitalisation nationwide.
Shaza Fatima said the government remained committed to the sustainable growth of Pakistan’s IT and telecom sector. She added that projects being implemented with World Bank support were being carried out transparently and efficiently.
The World Bank representative welcomed Pakistan’s IT reforms and digital transformation efforts.
Both sides also reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation on future technology and digital development projects.
