Karachi: Additional Inspector General of Police – Karachi Azad Khan chaired a high-level meeting at the Karachi Police Office to review measures for crime prevention and progress in important cases.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIPG), CIA Muqaddas Haider, DIGP Naeem Sheikh, district Senior Superintendents of Police (SSP), SIU, officials of the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) and Superintendents of Police (Investigation), said a news release on Friday.
The meeting reviewed implementation of directions issued during previous meetings, performance and operational capacity of the Shaheen Force, effective patrolling and measures to curb street crime.
Progress in important and under-investigation cases was also reviewed and the future course of action was discussed. The meeting appreciated the performance and effective action taken by SSP West against crime.
Azad Khan directed officers to complete investigations into important cases on a priority basis and ensure the arrest of suspects involved through effective use of modern investigative techniques.
He also directed officials to further improve the field performance of the Shaheen Force and ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property through effective patrolling.
