Kohat: In a series of successful operations against criminal elements, the Kohat Police arrested three suspects and recovered narcotics and illegal weapons, while a separate arrest was made for assaulting government officials and vandalizing a property, according to official statements.
Under the special directives of DPO Kohat SSP Rai Mazhar Iqbal, the Cantt Police Station team led by SHO Wajid Ali conducted a successful raid and arrested a suspect identified as Sher Khan. Police recovered 1,250 grams of hashish from his possession, noting that he operated as an online narcotics supplier.
Police apprehended two additional suspects, Hammad and Hasnain, recovering one pistol from each of them.
In a separate incident, the Kohat Police arrested a suspect named Rehman Khan, a resident of Miri, for obstructing WAPDA officials in the line of duty. The suspect physically confronted staff, grabbed them by the collar, hurled threats, and caused vandalism inside the WAPDA office.
DPO Kohat SSP Rai Mazhar Iqbal emphasized that strict legal action will be taken against anyone who creates obstacles in government affairs, mistreats public servants, or damages state property. Further investigations into both cases are currently underway.
