Kohat: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Minister for Law, Human Rights and Parliamentary Affairs Aftab Alam here on Saturday formally inaugurated Government Girls Degree College No. 4, Pindi Road.
Director Higher Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Fazal Hadi, College Principal Dr Samina, Nazim Togh Bala Shaukat Khan, District Education Officer Kohat Zahoor Khan, senior leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Kohat, government officials and prominent members of the local community attended the inauguration ceremony.
The establishment of the new girls’ degree college is being described as an important step toward expanding higher education opportunities for female students in Kohat.
Addressing the ceremony, Provincial Minister said that easy access to quality education was a fundamental right of every citizen. He said that providing higher education facilities to female students within their own locality would not only increase their educational opportunities, but it would also enable them to play a more effective role in the development of society in the future.
He said the establishment of new educational institutions reflected the government’s priority of providing the younger generation with quality education and better opportunities.
The provincial minister said that government aimed to provide young people, particularly female students, with educational opportunities through which they could utilize their potential and contribute to the development of society and the country.
