Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Arshad Ayub Khan on Thursday congratulated students who secured top positions and passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations across all educational boards in the province.
In a statement, the minister said the outstanding performance of students reflected their dedication and brought pride to the province.
He reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to maintaining merit and transparency in the examination system, adding that the campaign against cheating would continue with greater resolve.
Arshad Ayub Khan also commended the role of examination staff, particularly young graduates who performed invigilation duties with honesty and professionalism.
He said their commitment had been widely appreciated and set a positive benchmark for future examinations.
Highlighting ongoing education reforms, the minister said the government was focusing on concept-based learning and Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) in public schools to shift the emphasis from rote memorization to conceptual understanding.
He said the approach would help students develop analytical and critical thinking skills needed for future academic and professional success.
Welcoming the introduction of e-marking, he termed the digital assessment system a timely reform that would make result compilation faster, more accurate and transparent while strengthening public confidence in the examination process.
The minister reiterated the provincial government’s resolve to improve the quality of elementary and secondary education through transparent policies, merit-based systems and sustained reforms aimed at preparing students for a more competitive future.
