Law Minister condoles death of former MNA Malik Iqbal Channar


Lahore: Punjab Minister for Law Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan on Sunday visited the residence of late former Member of the National Assembly Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar to offer condolences to the bereaved family.



During the visit, the minister met the late leader’s son, Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Assembly Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channar, and other family members, expressing his heartfelt sympathy over their loss.



Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan offered Fateha for the departed soul and prayed that Almighty Allah grant the late Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, forgive his shortcomings, elevate his ranks and bless the bereaved family with patience and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.



Paying tribute to the late parliamentarian, the minister described Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar as a dignified, principled and people-oriented political leader who devoted his political and social life to public service. He said the late leader’s valuable contributions to politics, society and public welfare would always be remembered with respect.



The minister said the demise of Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar was a great loss to political and public circles, adding that the country had lost a respected, wise and dedicated public representative. He assured the bereaved family that he and the Punjab government stood with them in this difficult time and prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and strength for the family.
