Lahore: Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) Chief Executive Officer Lahore Sheryar Arif Khan fully mobilised in field to ensure improved sanitation arrangements in commercial markets across the city.
CEO Sheryar Arif Khan visited Ferozepur Road and Jail Road to review sanitation arrangements, said official sources on Friday.
Deputy CEO Operations Mubeen Ahsan and senior officers accompanied him during the field visit.
Sheryar Arif Khan reviewed the ongoing clearance of waste containers in commercial markets and inspected sanitation arrangements at Qurtaba Chowk, Abid Market and Mazang Chowk. He also reviewed the ongoing cleanliness operation around Shadman and Shama Stop.
CEO Sheryar Arif Khan said SPAL sanitation teams and the anti-littering squad were active across commercial markets and major roads. He said the anti-littering squad was continuing awareness activities among shopkeepers, urging them not to throw waste outside their shops.
Shopkeepers were also being guided to place dustbins outside their shops and informed about action and fines against those found littering.
He said the anti-littering squad’s activities were aimed at encouraging citizens and the business community to play their role in keeping the city clean.
