Lahore: Punjab Minister for Law Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan on Tuesday attended an award distribution ceremony as the chief guest at a private hotel, where senior lawyers and members of the business community were honoured for their outstanding professional services and contributions.
The ceremony was attended by PIAF Patron-in-Chief Mian Anjum Nisar, Rehman Foundation Chairman Dr Waqar Niaz, Programme In-charge Shakir Mahmood Chaudhry, Daniyal Rathore, as well as prominent lawyers, industrialists, businessmen and other distinguished personalities.
The law minister presented awards to senior lawyers and business leaders in recognition of their professional excellence and valuable contributions. He also congratulated Programme In-charge Shakir Mahmood Chaudhry and Daniyal Rathore on the successful organisation of the event, saying such ceremonies encourage and acknowledge individuals who make meaningful contributions to society.
Addressing the gathering, Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan said awards symbolise recognition of hard work, integrity and professional excellence, inspiring recipients to continue striving for higher achievements. He said the business community is the backbone of the national economy and plays a pivotal role in the country’s economic growth and prosperity, while the legal fraternity bears the responsibility of upholding the rule of law, safeguarding the Constitution and ensuring the effective administration of justice.
He said a strong economy and an effective legal system are the foundations of every developed society. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Punjab government is taking practical measures to resolve the issues faced by the business community, promote investment and provide a business-friendly environment.
The minister said the prompt delivery of justice, legal reforms and the welfare of the legal fraternity remain among the Punjab government’s top priorities. He added that the government is committed to building a prosperous, secure and progressive Punjab through close collaboration with all stakeholders.
Expressing confidence in the award recipients, Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan said they would continue to utilise their talent, dedication and professional expertise to contribute to Pakistan’s development, economic stability and the strengthening of the rule of law.
