Faisalabad: Provincial Sports Minister Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar inaugurated the table tennis and squash facilities at Al-Fateh Sports Complex here on Friday.
He visited badminton court, karate, wrestling, gym, football ground etc and inspected the sports facilities available for players and other infrastructure at the complex.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that attracting the youth towards healthy and positive activities is the need of the hour.
He said that under the leadership of CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Punjab government is focusing on the promotion of sports in the province and providing opportunities to the youth to express their talents in playgrounds.
He said that making the playgrounds and sports complexes more modernized in the district is the priority of the government.
The performance of the athletes can be further improved by providing them with quality training facilities, best infrastructure and conducive environment, he said.
He directed the relevant officers to ensure sports facilities, best environment and quality training facilities to the athletes.
The officers of relevant departments were also present on the occasion.
