Multan: A meeting was held between National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Multan and Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) here Thursday to discuss promotion of a corruption-free and business-friendly environment.
Rafiullah, Director NAB Multan, Tauseef Hanif, Additional Director NAB Multan, MCCI President Bakhtawar Tanvir Sheikh, Vice President Muhammad Azhar Baloch and MCCI Secretary General Muhammad Shafiq were in attendance, NAB Multan spokesman said in a statement.
In line with the Chairman NAB’s vision, NAB Multan reiterated to facilitate the business community, address their grievances and engage them to foster transparency and to develop an environment with shared responsibilities for a corruption free Pakistan.
During the session, the MCCI president commended NAB’s proactive outreach, highlighted the routine challenges faced by the businesses, and stressed the need for a regulatory environment that supports commerce. To streamline future cooperation, it was agreed upon to continue cooperation after setting modalities.
DG NAB Multan acknowledged the business community’s vital contribution to economic growth and gave assurance of assistance of NAB for a business-friendly environment.
