Multan: Newly-appointed Chairman Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Dr Ejaz Ahmad, on Thursday, pledged to modernise the board and ensure complete transparency and merit in its affairs during his first introductory meeting with senior officials.
Secretary BISE Khurram Shahzad Qureshi and Controller Examinations Dr Imran Ahmad briefed the chairman on their respective departments. Dr Ejaz said the board’s top priority would be a 100 per cent transparent examination system, with zero tolerance for recommendations, malpractice and unfair means.
He directed officials to facilitate students and parents by reducing unnecessary procedural hurdles, ensuring timely redressal of complaints, and introducing IT-based systems from paper marking to result preparation to minimise human error. He also stressed stricter monitoring to eliminate cheating and said honest and hardworking officers would receive full support.
Secretary Khurram Shahzad Qureshi and Controller of Examinations Dr Imran Ahmad assured the chairman of their full cooperation in implementing reforms, improving transparency and providing better services to students.
