Nine people injured in separate road mishaps in DI Khan


Dera ismail khan: Rescue 1122 teams responded to multiple emergencies in different parts of Dera Ismail Khan, including road traffic accidents, a drowning incident and a water rescue, officials said.



In the first incident, three persons sustained injuries when two motorcycles collided on Bhakkar Road. Rescue 1122 personnel reached the site promptly, provided first aid to the injured and shifted them to hospital for further medical treatment. The injured were identified as Shoaib, Owais and Asghar.



In another road traffic accident on Daraban Road near Zindani, five people were injured after a coach reportedly went off the road and fell into a ditch following a steering failure. Rescue personnel provided first aid to the injured before shifting them to Mufti Mahmood Hospital, Dera Ismail Khan.



In a separate incident at Darya Khan Bridge near Ghafar T, the Rescue 1122 team deployed at the Temporary Water Rescue Point (TWRP) responded to a motorcycle accident involving 53-year-old Allah Bakhsh, a resident of Bhakkar. He sustained injuries in the accident and was provided first aid at the scene. After his condition was assessed as stable, he was allowed to leave the site.



Meanwhile, a Rescue 1122 team responded to a drowning emergency at Babar Paka in Tehsil Prova, where a person was reported to have drowned in the Indus River. On the directions of District Emergency Officer Dera Ismail Khan Muhammad Arif Khan, the diving team reached Tehsil Prova and search for the missing person is underway.



In another water-related emergency near the Aman Mela area of Darazinda, a person became trapped between strong water currents and was unable to move to safety. The Rescue 1122 team reached the location and, using professional rescue techniques, safely pulled the stranded person out of the water.



Local residents appreciated the timely response and professional services of Rescue 1122 personnel in safely rescuing the stranded person.



Rescue 1122 officials said their teams remained prepared to respond to emergencies and provide immediate assistance to people in distress across the district.
