Lahore: Notification of new working hours of schools from August 24 has been issued.
According to the School Education Department, single shift schools will start at 8 am, while it will work till 1:30 pm. However, on Friday, single shift schools will start at 12:45 pm.
Double shift schools will start from 8 am to 12 pm. School hours in the second shift will be from 2 pm to 5:30 pm.
Meanwhile girls’ schools will start 15 minutes before boys’ schools, and holiday will also be 15 minutes before.
Saturdays will remain holidays in government schools. According to the School Education Department, the new working hours will be applicable till October 15.
