Lodhran: City police on Sunday arrested a suspect involved in dangerous drifting at Mailsi Chowk after a video of the reckless activity went viral on social media.
According to a police spokesperson, Muhammad Asif, one of the suspects involved in the incident was arrested while his accomplice, identified as Shoaib alias Goga managed to escape. Police teams were conducting raids to arrest the absconding suspect.
Police also seized and impounded both vehicles allegedly used in the dangerous activity. District Police Officer (DPO), Beenish Fatima said dangerous drifting that endangered the lives and property of citizens would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
She said violation of law in the name of entertainment and putting citizens’ lives at risk was unacceptable. The DPO directed police officials to ensure strict legal action against those turning public roads into racing tracks.
