Karachi:The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Wednesday, informed that financial inclusion in the country witnessed 2.41% growth during calendar year 2025 as depicted by the Pakistan Financial Inclusion Index (P-FII) which increased to 59.5 by end CY25.
The central bank, in a statement issued here, released the results of the Pakistan Financial Inclusion Index (P-FII) for the year 2025. The index, which serves as a comprehensive metric for capturing the extent of financial inclusion in the country, is recorded at 59.5, growing from 58.1 in 2024, it added.
According to the SBP, the positive trajectory of the index was largely supported by substantial growth in the Usage sub-index, followed by Access and Quality sub-indices, reflecting successful implementation of the digital initiatives under National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS) 2024-28.
RAAST merchant onboarding and payment ecosystem, introduction of digital banks and account opening drives were among the notable drivers of growth in the financial inclusion while strong consumer orientation and financial literacy further reinforced those advancements.
