Karachi: The total liquid foreign reserves of Pakistan stood at US$ 22, 474. 6 million as of July 31, 2026, while reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased to US$ 17, 043 million.
‘During the week ended on 31-Jul-2026, SBP’s FX reserves increased by US$ 13 million to US$ 17, 043. 0 million, ‘ the central bank reported on Thursday in its weekly statement on the position of liquid foreign reserves.
Meanwhile, the net foreign reserves held by commercial banks also increased by $ 19. 4 million to $ 5, 431. 6 million, the break up of forex reserves for the period under review showed.
Pakistan’s total liquid foreign reserves in the previous week ended on July 24, 2026 stood $ 22, 442. 1 million. Among them the State Bank of Pakistan held foreign exchange reserves of $ 17, 029. 9 million while the other $ 5, 412. 2 million were held by the commercial banks.
