PHA inspector arrested red-handed while taking bribe


Lahore: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab has launched a major operation against corrupt elements, arresting a Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Lahore inspector red-handed while allegedly receiving a bribe from a citizen.



On the special directives of Director General Anti-Corruption Sohail Zafar Chattha, ACE officials are continuing operations against corrupt elements across Punjab.



The ACE Lahore team arrested PHA Lahore Inspector Bilal Ashfaq while allegedly accepting a bribe from a citizen for allowing the installation of billboards.



Acting on a complaint filed by citizen Danish Javed, an ACE team, accompanied by a magistrate, conducted a trap raid against the accused.



Marked currency notes were recovered from the accused at the spot, following which a case was registered against him.
