Rawalpindi: The Parks and Horticulture Authorities (PHA) Rawalpindi has intensified cleaning and beautification activities along green belts and medians on Murree Road from Mareer Chowk to Committee Chowk in Rashid Minhas Sector.
On the directives of Managing Director, Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi, Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, field teams were carrying out cleaning, hoeing, removal of weeds and unwanted shrubs, and pruning of plants to improve the overall appearance of the green belts.
The horticulture staff was also removing dry leaves, waste and other unwanted material while trimming unnecessary branches to promote healthy plant growth.
Murree Road, being one of the city’s major thoroughfares, received special attention under the agency’s ongoing efforts to make major roads, intersections, medians and green belts cleaner and greener.
The agency was also conducting seasonal cleaning, irrigation, pruning and other horticultural activities at various locations across the city.
The Horticulture Agency said regular monitoring of field operations would continue to ensure proper maintenance of green belts and provide citizens with a clean, green and aesthetically pleasing environment.
