Sindh Green Foundation plants 100 trees in historical 100 years old Government Pilot School


Larkana: Government Pilot Higher Secondary School Larkana completed its 100 years and to commemorate ceremony celebration the Green Sindh Foundation planted 100 tree in a ceremony held here at the conference hall on Monday.



The ceremony was attended by Zulfiqar Magsi, Founder of Green Sindh Foundation, Vice Principal Mumtaz Shahani, Scout Teacher Mujahid Jarwar, Abdul Latif Umrani, teachers, staff and students. One hundred saplings were planted in the school parks and awareness was raised about the usefulness and importance of trees and plants, which was declared an environmentally friendly and beautiful step by Green Sindh Foundation.



Addressing the ceremony, Founder Green Sindh Foundation, Zulfiqar Magsi said the Government Pilot Higher Secondary School was a historical institution from where the light of knowledge has been shining for a century.



He said trees and plants played a major role in better educational activities by providing clean air and a green environment to the students. Trees did not just provide shade, they guarantee life, breath and a clean environment for the future.



He said that under the leadership of Chairman Dari Town Shahrukh Khan Sial, Green Sindh Foundation would plant more than 20, 000 trees in Larkana city under the plantation campaign, which will prove to be a unique environmental initiative.



Vice Principal Mumtaz Shahani said that children who planted saplings were actually protecting their future. Green Sindh Foundation’s tree planting campaign of 100 trees was a great example for environmental organizations. Scout teacher Mujahid Jarwar said that the Green Sindh Foundation was working in a better way to protect the environment and create awareness, because training along with education, and love for nature along with books are the hallmarks of successful nations. Abdul Latif Imrani and others also spoke on the occasion.
