Lahore: Fully funded scholarships for higher education in Germany have been announced, Pakistani students can submit applications till August 31.
According to the details, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has started the regular registration of PhD and Post Doctoral Scholarships for the year 2027.
This scholarship, provided in collaboration with the German Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, provides international and Pakistani students with the opportunity to do a fully funded PhD from recognized universities and research institutions in Germany.
Successful candidates will be provided with various facilities along with full educational expenses, including a monthly stipend of 1, 400 euros, insurance: health, accident and personal liability insurance, an annual allowance of 460 euros and money towards travel expenses.
Other facilities include German language learning fees, accommodation subsidies, and family allowances.
Applicants must have a Master’s or equivalent higher education degree (in exceptional cases, Bachelor’s holders may also be eligible).
Furthermore, the candidate’s residence in Germany must not exceed 15 months by the application deadline and must have approval of their research and proof of language proficiency.
The last date for Pakistan is August 31, 2026, while the last date for other countries is October 21, 2026.
The DAAD administration has directed Pakistani students to submit their complete online applications before the scheduled last date of August 31.
