Hyderabad: Police in its continued drive against Narcotics and criminals on Tuesday arrested 18 suspects including women.
A Police Spokesman informed here that on the instructions of DIG Hyderabad Range Tariq Razak Dharejo and SSP Hyderabad Shahzeb Chachar, SHOs of different Police stations carried out raids in their territorial jurisdiction.
SHO Tando Jam Police Sttaion Inspector Ayaz Bughiyo along with his staff acting on a tip-off, arrested drug supplier Gulzeb Pathan and recovered 1660 grams marijunana from his possession.
In another operation, drug peddlers Shan Imrani and Niaz Hussain alias Soni were arrested and 670 grams and 630 grams of marijuana was recovered from their possession.
In another operation, drug peddler Munir Ahmed Nahiyo was arrested and 360 grams of hashish were recovered from his possession.
SHO Market Police Station, Inspector Nek Muhammad Khoso along with his staff carried out a raid and arrested a drug supplier Mehroz Yousafzai during patrolling operations and recovered 1 kg 20 grams of drugs from his possession.
In the second operation, drug peddlers named Owais Qureshi and Farhan Deswali were arrested and 6 bottles of liquor were recovered from the accused.
In the third operation, drug supplier Noman Bangash was arrested and 525 grams of hashish was recovered from the accused.
In the fourth operation, gutka suppliers Samina Anwar, Muhammad Akram and Anwar Khan were arrested, while the accomplice of the accused Raheel alias Dabo managed to escape from the spot. After 6 packets of approximately 570 sachets of gutka were recovered from the possession of the arrested and escaped accused
SHO City Police Station Inspector Tahir Mughal along with his staff arrested a mainpuri vendor Tariq Ali Qureshi during a patrol operation and recovered 100 mainpuri from his possession
In the second operation, a female mainpuri supplier named Irum wife Ali Sher Khaskheli and Nabil Khaskheli were arrested.
SHO Municipal Police Station Sub-Inspector Muzaffar Ali Khalidi along with his staff arrested a Mainpuri vendor Abdul Rehman Palari and Sajjad Palari and recovered 40 Mainpuri and 168 sachets of Gutka from their possession.
SHO Phuleli Police Station Inspector Muhammad Hashim Brohi along with his staff arrested a Mainpuri vendor named Amir Abbasi while his ccomplice Junaid Abbasi fled from the spot.
SHO Sakhi Pir Police Station Inspector Shahzad Qazi along with his staff took action and arrested Gutka supplier Rashid Ali Sheikh during patrolling and recovered 400 pieces of Gutka from the accused. SHOs of relevant Police Stations have regiisterd cases against all accused under relevant law and act.
