Faisalabad: Thikriwala police constable was killed during a raid conducted to arrest outlaws at Darbar Baba Ajuba near Chak No.73-JB Jhapal late Sunday night.
According to a police spokesman here on Monday,upon seeing police,the accused opened indiscriminate fire on the party,seriously injuring Constable Abrar Hussain.
The police arrested four outlaws,identified as Bilal, Hannan, Hammad and Ali Abbas alias Zubair, and recovered weapons from their possession.
The constable was rushed to a hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.
Inspector General (IG) of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem paid tribute to the martyred constable and directed the police authorities to ensure the welfare and well-being of the martyr’s family.
