Hyderabad:Police, in its continued drive against the drug supply, claimed to have arrested Six accused and recovered gutka, mainpuri and liquor from their possession.
A Police Spokesman informed here on Wednesday that SHO Hatri, Inspector Aslam Baloo, along with his team, conducted an operation near New City Road (Cattle Colony) and thwarted the supply of a large quantity of Gutka and Mainpuri.
Police intercepted and searched two Mazda trucks, recovering 43 sacks of raw material for Mainpuri, 55 packets of Gutka, and 76 cartons of sweet betel nut.
During the operation, police arrested Hanif Katchi, Shahnawaz Mallah, and Ghulam Akbar Gujjar.
They registered a case against the suspects under Section 8 of the Gutka and Mainpuri Act.
SHO Market, Inspector Nek Muhammad Khoso, along with a police team, conducted an operation near the garbage dump in Doctor Colony and arrested the suspect, Waryam Lashari and registered a case against the accused under Section 8 of the Gutka and Mainpuri Act after two packets of Gutka and five cartons of sweet betel nut were recovered from his possession.
Additionally, Market Police arrested two drug peddlers, Muhammad Zahid and Asif Neelgar, and registered a case against them under Sections 3 and 4 of the Hudood Ordinance following the recovery of six bottles of liquor from their possession.
