Sialkot: Sialkot Police,using the E-Gadget mobile application recovered 110 stolen and lost smart-phones worth Rs.10 million during the month of June and returned them to their rightful owners,officials said on Sunday.
According to a police statement, multiple police stations received applications from citizens reporting the loss or theft of mobile phones.
On the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Capt (retd) Dost Muhammad, police teams used the E-Gadget mobile application to trace and recover the devices.
Officials said the recovered smart-phones were handed back to their owners after completion of verification and legal formalities.
Police added that the initiative reflects the use of modern technology in improving public service delivery and assisting citizens in recovering lost property.
