Police recover 96 valuable mobile phones


Gujrat: Police recovered and returned 96 valuable lost and stolen mobile phones to their rightful owners during July 2026 with the help of the E-Gadget tracking system. According to a police spokesperson, the recovery operation was carried out on the directions of District Police Officer Gujrat Akhtar Farooq by the District Police IT Branch under the supervision of IT In-charge Sub-Inspector Syed Nadeem Iqbal and his team. After completing the necessary verification process, the recovered mobile phones were handed over to their original owners.



The spokesperson said that Gujrat Police were using modern technology alongside conventional policing to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property. He added that the E-Gadget system had significantly improved the recovery of lost and stolen mobile phones, reaffirming the police’s commitment to public service and the protection of citizens’ property.
