Sialkot: Police on Wednesday successfully traced out a missing kid and handed back to his parents in the limits of Badyana Police Station.
Thirteen-year-old Hamza, a student at a religious seminary (madrasa), left for somewhere else instead of going to the madrasa because he was afraid of being beaten for not having memorised his lesson.
Following a request from his parents, the police used modern technology and CCTV cameras to trace the child within a few hours and safely handed him over to his brother.
DPO Sialkot Captain (retd) Dost Muhammad appealed to parents and teachers: ‘Children should not be subjected to unnecessary scolding or physical punishment. Instead, parents and teachers should build relationships based on love, affection, and trust, so that children can speak openly and without fear.’
