Peshawar: As many as 215 candidates for Corporate and Associate Class are contesting the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Elections 2026-28.
According to an official statement issued by the office of Secretary General of the chamber, more than 98 candidates, including 35 for Corporate and 59 for Associate Class, and four for women’s reserved seats were contested in the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The aspiring candidates submitted their nomination papers with the office of Secretary General of the chamber Muqtasid Ahsan.
Earlier, the final voters list was already displayed on notice board and online. Total number of voters, including 3965, including 524 Corporate and 3441 Associate Class were included.
As per election schedule, the scrutiny of nomination papers will be carried out on Aug 26 while any objection to be submitted on Aug 27 and decision will be made if there are any objections on Aug 27.
The appeal on the election commission decision regarding objections/ complaints would be decided on Sept 01, while the final decision would come on Sept 9.
The nomination papers will be withdrawn till Sept 11.
