Lahore: Commissioner Lahore Nauman Yousaf on Monday inspected the Sabzazar Tehsil Headquarters Hospital and reviewed medical care protocols, availability of medicines and cleanliness arrangements in line with the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif. During his visit, the commissioner inspected the emergency department, wards and other sections of the hospital and conducted a special inspection of the dengue ward. He also interacted with patients and inquired about the medical facilities being provided to them.
The patients were specifically asked about the availability of free medicines, and they expressed satisfaction over the provision of medicines and treatment facilities. The commissioner also reviewed duty rosters, medicine supplies and overall cleanliness arrangements at the hospital. Nauman Yousaf inspected the hospital’s medicine store and checked medicine batches, availability and supply arrangements. He also paid special attention to the cleanliness of washrooms.
The commissioner said the dengue ward had been established at the hospital and directed that plant containers placed inside hospital rooms should be checked regularly to prevent possible dengue breeding sites. He stressed that there would be no compromise on cleanliness standards in hospitals, adding that a zero-tolerance policy was being followed regarding hygiene and cleanliness at hospital canteens, parking areas and other facilities.
The commissioner said medical facilities and cleanliness arrangements at hospitals were being inspected according to a scheduled plan to ensure compliance with prescribed protocols and
improve services for patients.
