Sukkur: Polling for the by-election in PS-30 Khairpur-V is underway in a peaceful environment, with security tightened across the constituency. According to the spokesperson for the Provincial Election Commissioner Sindh on Sunday, polling started at its scheduled time at 8:00 AM and will continue uninterrupted till 5:00 PM.
Heavy contingents of police and other law enforcement agencies have been deployed in and around polling stations to maintain law and order and ensure a peaceful polling process. Provincial Election Commissioner Sindh, Ijaz Anwar Chauhan has directed all concerned officials to remain alert to ensure free, fair, transparent and peaceful conduct of the by-election.
He appealed to the public to reach their respective polling stations without any fear and exercise their right to vote.
