Lahore: Punjab University (PU) has awarded PhD degrees to 10 scholars in various disciplines after approval of their thesis.
According to a university spokesperson, the scholars awarded PhD degrees include Muhammad Ibraheem, son of Shafeeq Ur Rahman, in Biochemistry; Mohammad Yasir, son of Mohammad Yousaf Nasir, in History; Ahmad Azeem, son of Muhammad Ayub, in Islamic Studies; Syeda Narjis Sherazi, daughter of Syed Kafait Hussain Sherazi, and Asma Zafar, daughter of Zafar Iqbal Butt, in Applied Psychology.
Other scholars include Filza Qambar, daughter of Ghulam Qambar, in Business Administration; Faheem Akhtar, son of Muhammad Ali Akhtar, in Gender Studies; Muhammad Usman, son of Muhammad Irshad, in Sociology; Muhammad Saleem Akhtar, son of Muhammad Akhtar, in Sports Sciences and Physical Education; and Asma Iqbal, daughter of Muhammad Iqbal Cheema, in Zoology.
