MULTAN:In a significant announcement, Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab Mohsin Naqvi revealed that extensive development efforts are currently underway in southern Punjab, with Multan as a key focal point.
While talking to the media at Children’s Hospital, here on Tuesday, the minister stated, “This year marks the full operationalization of Nishtar Hospital 2, a momentous achievement for the region”.
Chief Minister Naqvi highlighted several noteworthy developments. He stated the historical precedent of holding a provincial cabinet meeting in Multan for the first time in history. Additionally, he emphasized that Nishtar Hospital II’s impending opening would significantly enhance healthcare accessibility in the region.
In a move to alleviate the burden on citizens, Chief Minister Naqvi announced a landmark agreement with sugar mill owners to provide sugar at an affordable rate of 140 rupees per kg. This price reduction aims to bring relief to the people and combat inflation.
Moreover, the Punjab government expressed its unwavering commitment to comprehensive child healthcare, pledging cooperation and support for children’s treatment whose heart is located outside the chest.
The Chief Minister also mentioned plans for improved childcare services, with some responsibilities being transferred to a specialized hospital in Lahore.
