Lahore: Punjab Police have intensified operations against organized criminal gangs across the province, arresting 7, 886 members of 3, 295 gangs and recovering stolen property worth more than Rs2. 33 billion during the current year.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, the operations were conducted against organized criminal elements across Lahore and other parts of the province.
The spokesperson said the recovered stolen property included 291 vehicles, 6, 341 motorcycles, 5, 217 mobile phones, 2, 356 livestock and 1, 175 tolas of gold.
Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem directed police officers to further intensify operations against criminal elements and continue indiscriminate action against organized criminal gangs across the province. He stressed that every possible measure should be taken to protect the lives and property of citizens and directed police personnel to maintain an effective crackdown against criminal elements.
