Islamabad: Adviser to Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah on Friday accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of having a history of creating law-and-order problems and disrupting peace through long marches.
Speaking to a private television channel, the adviser said that PTI was involved in the May 9 incidents and urged the party to focus on addressing terrorism-related issues in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) instead of holding a protest march in the federal capital.
Commenting on PTI’s proposed long march, he said the party’s leaders were not capable of mobilizing people from Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan. However, he said PTI could bring a few thousand people from KP.
Regarding the possibility of dialogue with PTI, the adviser said the party had been hesitant to initiate talks. He added that the government had offered negotiations to PTI to help resolve political differences. ‘Dialogue is the option to address political issues,’ he said.
