Islamabad: Adviser to Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah has urged the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to focus on addressing the issues confronting the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa rather than planning a long march that could disturb peace and create a law-and-order situation in the federal capital.
Speaking to a private television channel, Sanaullah said PTI should concentrate on improving security and maintaining law and order in the province, particularly in the face of terrorism-related challenges. He urged the party leadership to take practical measures to address these issues instead of turning its attention towards political protests in Islamabad.
He recalled the events of May 9 and advised PTI to avoid repeating actions that could lead to unrest or damage public property and state institutions. He made it clear that the government would not allow anyone to create a law-and-order crisis in the federal capital through long marches or other forms of protest.
Sanaullah said political differences should not be allowed to overshadow the problems faced by ordinary citizens, particularly those living in areas affected by insecurity and terrorism. He maintained that PTI leadership had a responsibility to focus on governance and public welfare in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and work towards improving the security situation there.
Responding to a question about the possibility of dialogue with PTI, he said political issues could best be resolved through negotiations and dialogue. He stressed that engagement between political stakeholders remained an important means of addressing differences and finding solutions to contentious issues.
