Sukkur: Regional Director of the Provincial Ombudsman, Ahmed Ali Qureshi along with his team on Monday visited Government Secondary School Old Sukkur and Tanga Stand School.
During the visit, the Regional Director conducted a detailed review of the academic curriculum facilities provided to students, washrooms, staff attendance and other important matters in the schools.
On the occasion, he directed the headmasters and principals of the schools to prepare a regular schedule for co-curricular activities along with academic activities. Ahmed Ali Qureshi said that along with special attention to students, counselling should also be arranged to make them responsible and good citizens of society.
He stressed upon teachers to perform their duties in an efficient manner, as teachers act as role models for students and their training plays an important role in building a better society.
In addition, the Regional Director of the Provincial Ombudsman also visited Darul Aman Sukkur with regard to care of women. He met the incharge of Darul Aman and took a detailed briefing regarding accommodation, food, security arrangements and other important matters for women.
On this occasion, he directed that better care, protection and training of women residing in Darul Aman be ensured. He said that Darul Aman is an institution that provides protection and support to women facing difficult circumstances, therefore providing better facilities and proper training here can help in social betterment.
