Lahore: Punjab Emergency Services (Rescue 1122) Lahore has put in place comprehensive emergency arrangements to ensure the safety of participants attending the central Chehlum procession of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the concluding ceremony of Urs of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA).
According to a Rescue 1122 spokesperson, multiple emergency rescue posts had been established around the shrine of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA), while motorbike ambulances, emergency ambulances, fire rescue vehicles, specialised rescue vehicles and trained rescuers had been deployed at sensitive locations to ensure prompt response in case of any emergency.
He said similar emergency arrangements had also been made along the routes of the central Chehlum procession, at Majalis and other sensitive locations, where Rescue 1122 teams, ambulances, motorbike ambulances and fire vehicles remained on high alert to provide immediate assistance to mourners.
The spokesperson said Rescue 1122 was also continuing to respond to routine emerge
ncies across the city without interruption during the religious events to ensure uninterrupted emergency services for the public.
He added that Rescue 1122 remained fully prepared and operational round-the-clock to protect lives and property, provide timely medical assistance and effectively respond to any emergency situation.
