Dera ismail khan: Rescue 1122 has intensified safety measures along the Indus River to ensure the protection of residents and visitors during the ongoing monsoon season.
According to the Rescue 1122 spokesman, rescue teams have been deployed at the TWRP picnic point and other vulnerable locations, while continuous patrolling were being carried out by rescue boats across the river.
He said the initiative was aimed to prevent water-related accidents, raise public awareness about water safety, and ensure a swift emergency response in case of any untoward incident.
Rescue personnel were also educating visitors about precautionary measures and discouraging them from engaging in unsafe activities near the river.
He said that Rescue 1122 and the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) had jointly deployed personnel at various points along the Indus River.
The teams are ensuring compliance with safety guidelines, discouraging risky behavior, and remaining on standby to provide immediate emergency assistance whenever required.
Rescue boats continue to patrol along the river side to closely monitor the situation.
Rescue 1122 has urged the public to avoid unnecessary visits to rivers and canals during the monsoon season, strictly follow safety instructions, and immediately call 1122 in case of any emergency.
