Burewala: A rickshaw driver was killed while four others, including a woman and a child, sustained injuries in a road accident involving a rickshaw and a motorcycle near Nisar Boota Chowki on Friday.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, the accident occurred when the two vehicles collided, leaving five people injured.
Rescue teams reached on the spot, provided first aid before shifting the injured to THQ Hospital Burewala.
The victims were identified as passengers and occupants of the two vehicles involved in the crash.
Hospital sources said that rickshaw driver Ismail, son of Jahangir and a resident of Arifwala, succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Rescue officials said one of the injured persons was in critical condition while the remaining victims were undergoing medical treatment.
Police reached the scene and launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident and complete legal formalities.
